Early Intervention

Early intervention is a system of coordinated services that promotes the growth and development of infants and toddlers (typically birth to age 3) with developmental delays or disabilities. These federally mandated services are designed to minimize the potential for developmental delay and reduce the need for special education services later in life. Interventions are often multidisciplinary and provided in the child’s natural environment, helping families support their child’s development during critical early years.
