Cerebral palsy is a group of permanent, non-progressive disorders affecting the development of movement and posture, causing activity limitations. CP is attributed to disturbances that occurred in the developing fetal or infant brain, such as oxygen deprivation, infection, or stroke. It is the most common cause of motor disability in childhood and can be accompanied by disturbances in sensation, perception, cognition, and communication, requiring ongoing therapeutic support and medical care.
